Technical information SURPASS Digital
The SURPASS digital application has been designed so it can easily be integrated within the existing hospital IT-environment.
For this reason SURPASS Digital is a web-application, which can be installed in the local network of the hospital. The user interface consists out of a number of interactive HTML-pages, which can be displayed from within an EPD of PDMS. In most cases this can be accomplished by a simple configuration adjustment.
To store the modified checklists, SURPASS Digital van make use of the already existing database infrastructure.
Finally there are only two extra integration points needed to start using SURPASS Digital:
- Integration point responsible of retrieving patient-information based on a patient-id. This information is displayed to the end-users so they can verify for whom the checklist is filled in. In most cases an HL7-connection can be used to accomplish this, however it is also possible to provide a tailor-made solution.
- Integration point responsible for verifying a username/password combination. An end-user has to provide these to sign after a checklist has been filled in or modified. In most cases an LDAP-server can be used for this purpose, however custom-solutions are also supported.
